I had only a couple of Windows apps that I wanted to continue to run (visual studio and army builder). This program was well worth its price. No more reboot to go to windows. I doubt I'll ever go back to a PC. Customer Rating: Summary: Upgrade Process and Customer Service is Horrible Comment: After receiving VMWare Fusion 2, I expected a free upgrade from the company within 2 weeks. Three weeks later, I have called multiple companies now to get the free upgrade to work, to no avail. VMWare says that Smith-Micro handles the upgrade process, while Smith-Micro denies having any involvement. The customer service of this company for this particular product is byfar the worst I have experienced in the software industry, and I will not be buying VMWare products again. I had never tried using this on a Mac but it is working seamlessly on my Imac working with Windows XP. I need XP for some of my old business apps but didn't want to buy a new PC since they all now come with Windows 7. Windows 7 is great but does not run all of the old XP programs even though it says it is backward compatible. I therefore felt it was important to keep XP on one of my computers but never dreamed it would run so well on a Mac. My next purchase is going to be a Mac Pro for all my video and camera editing. I am hoping that VMware 3.0 will run as well as this program does and plan on installing Windows 7 on the Mac Pro. There are only 3 reviews at the present time on the 3.0 version and hoping a few more pop up soon to make me more confident about the new software.
